Yous guys! I am soooo excited about this! The almost fun affair nearly working on this serial, was that I bought myself some really prissy yarn to make these samples and and so it was just fun to knit them up. And yes, I KNOW I said I rarely knit for babies in wool, merely you guys, I needed some variety!

This week we're starting with THE basic easy infant hat knitting design, it's a classic chapeau with a ribbed skirt and the remainder of the chapeau knit in stockinette sew.

This chapeau is knit in the round. (Fearfulness not, friends, a apartment knit hat is coming!)

Information technology knits up pretty quickly and the rounds of stockinette are piece of cake and soothing to work on.

Basic Easy Baby Hat Knitting Pattern Supply List

Estimate: twenty st. = 4 inches

Worsted weight yarn

Us 7 sixteen″ circular knitting needles

Us seven double pointed needles

Yarn needle

Basic Easy Baby Hat Knitting Design Instructions

Using long-tail cast on, cast on 72 stitches onto your circular needles. Join to knit in the round and knit 1 sew together, purl 1 stitch in a rib stitch for four rounds. Then knit all rounds until the lid is about 5 inches long.

Decrease (divide the stitches betwixt 3 double pointed needles and knit with the 4th):

Round 1: (k6, k2tog) repeat to the end of the round

Round 2: Knit all stitches

Round iii: (k5, k2tog) repeat to the terminate of the circular

Circular 4: Knit all stitches

Circular 5: (k4, k2tog) repeat to the cease of the round

Round 6: Knit all stitches to the end of the round.

Round 7: (k3, k2tog) repeat to the end of the circular

Round 8: Knit all stitches to the end of the round

Round nine: (k2, k2tog) repeat to the stop of the round

Rounds x: Knit all stitches

Circular xi: (k1, k2tog) repeat to the end of the round

Round 12:  k2tog repeat to the end of the round

Cut yarn, thread on yarn needle, pull through loops and close. Weave in ends.
