Design a Rom Using Using 1k X 8

round room designThere's no way around this – a round room is one of the most difficult spaces to design. Finding the right furniture and layout can be a big challenge due to the shape and size of the room. Not to mention that it is almost impossible to place objects against the wall in a rounded space.

Thanks to its unique curves, a round room can often leave us confused when it comes to planning an arrangement. If you're struggling to design a round room, here are five ideas for five different functions.

Office Round desk design

Thinking of using your round room as an office? It's a great idea that can open up a variety of possibilities. We suggest you float the desk in the middle of the space so that your workspace is centered and balanced. Mounting a bookcase against round walls can be precarious, so we recommend that you stick to lower, closed furniture. A splashback is an excellent choice for a round room.

The curved shape of this desk echoes the organic nature of the room. We also installed a bench along the wall near the entrance for additional seating. The dark color of the walls helps to create a warm ambience which creates a bold contrast with the colorful carpet.

A round room can be a more delicate space for a bedroom, as the large and imposing shape of the bed can limit the functionality of the space. Our room only had room for a bed and not much else, but we were able to fit a queen-size option with small, inconspicuous bedside tables on either side. We also put away a small dresser and doubled it as a TV stand to make the most of the limited space.

A C-shaped side table is a great little hack and an alternative to a full-fledged nightstand. These sleek designs can snuggle up next to the bed, provide a large surface area, and take up less floor space.

A dining room is a function for which a round room could be perfectly suited! Similar to the design of the desk, here we've floated a round dining table in the middle of the room to give it plenty of room to breathe. It also allows you to move around the table and doesn't create awkward spaces like setting a table up against the wall. In this layout we even had space to put a splashback for storage with two side side chairs in case additional guests came!

This round room lends itself nicely to an escape room-type stay. A more bohemian style allows for a relaxed and flexible layout and allows for a cozy and intimate feel. We used a sofa and two accent chairs to provide plenty of seating, while the fun patterns and decorative accents make the room feel like a cozy getaway. And a padded ottoman can double as a coffee table or even an extra seat in a pinch. This is a great idea if you want your round room to provide some sort of retreat from the rest of the house!

Our latest idea is to transform your round room into a play space for children. You can throw all the traditional interior design rules out the window and just enjoy the pleasure of this uncomfortable space. We've filled our playroom with toys of all kinds, like oversized stuffed animals, a mini play area in the kitchen, and even a hanging chair! This will be a fun getaway for the kids where their imaginations can run wild, so let yours run wild while you design it!
